This photo was taken on my way back to my dorm room. I didn’t plan to take this amazing shot. I was stopped at a traffic light, and when I happened to look back, I saw the moon rising right behind the BU Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences building. It felt like a perfect moment, so I quickly took out my phone and captured this beautiful scene. The modern glass building, the old stone towers nearby, and the moon hanging in the clear evening sky all came together to create a view that felt almost unreal.
Dominating the left side of the image is Boston University's Center for Computing & Data Sciences, a bold addition to the cityscape. Completed in 2022, this 19-story, 305-foot-tall building is designed to resemble a stack of books, symbolizing knowledge and learning. It's not just architecturally unique; it's also Boston's largest fossil fuel-free building, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.
