This photo was taken from the plane as I was flying into Toronto. From above, you can clearly see how the downtown area sits right on the edge of Lake Ontario, creating a beautiful connection between the city and the water. I chose this picture because it perfectly captures how Downtown Toronto forms a "T"-shaped pattern. You can notice how the tall buildings stretch straight up from the lakeshore and then continue down toward the lower left side of the image — that main line of skyscrapers follows Yonge Street, one of the most important and historic streets in the city. It's really interesting how the skyline seems to grow outward from the lake, showing the heart of Toronto's urban life.
